The East Kilbride Community Trust (EKCT) are in the early stages of establishing a Community Woodland in the vicinity of Peel Park, East Kilbride, with the aim of providing an attractive and accessible greenspace for those who live and work in the surrounding area.
We hope to build a safer, stronger and happier community by encouraging people in the local area to help care for this neglected outdoor space, and to make greater use of it for health and wellbeing purposes. The woodland will also be used to provide programmes of formal and informal education, including Forest School, and it is hoped that the site will become a valuable location for outdoor learning.
